Holmes Sequel cast recap

After a long summer of rumors, it seems like the ultimate cast for the still untitled "Sherlock Holmes" sequel is finally done.

Together with the old names confirmed, starting from the leading roles of Holmes (Robert Downey jr.) and Watson (Jude Law) and Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams),returning for a small role, we now can confirm Stephen Fry and Jared Harris as Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older brother, and Moriarty, the public enemy nr. 1.

The final touch is the other female presence, given by the Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (the protagonist of the original Larsson's "Millennium" trilogy) at her english language movie debut. Firmly wanted by Warner Bros., in search for an appealing new face, the actress is going to play the main female character, rumored to be a French gipsy girl.

The "Sherlock Holmes" sequel shooting is due to start in these days, while its release date is December 16, 2011.

I know little of Harris, except for his role in Benjamin Button and lately in Mad Men, so I can hardly say what’s my expectation.
About Fry, I think he’s kind of perfect to play Sherlock’s bigbro…and by the way it’s going to be interesting!

I hope Rachel will be in it for more than one scene. :( (if not in this film then in the possible third film, seeing as they’ve said they had ideas for three more, including the second.)

Stephen Fry as Mycroft though! Perfect!
